BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently recruiting a dynamic, results-oriented professional for the position of Warehouse Operator (M/F/D) at our new production facility in Viana do Castelo, Portugal. Responsibilities: * Digitally register material receipts and shipments in the ERP system; * Dispatch materials to internal customers, specifically supplying production lines using MIZU; * Handle chemical products while adhering to safety rules, from supply and/or storage perspectives in the chemical warehouse; * Identify and segregate waste according to classification, and move it to the designated location; * Handle and move loads using mechanical equipment such as pallet trucks, stackers, forklifts, and tri-directional forklifts; * Receive, unload, and verify goods according to established procedures; * Store products in an organized manner to optimize space utilization and ensure easy accessibility; * Prepare orders for shipment, including picking, packaging, and labeling of products; * Conduct inventory counts to ensure stock accuracy; * Report any issues or discrepancies regarding goods to the Team Leader; * Work collaboratively within a team to achieve operational goals and continuously improve processes; * Comply with the organization’s internal rules and regulations: Code of Ethics, working hours; * Respect and comply with workplace safety and cleanliness rules; * Respect and comply with environmental policy rules; * Actively participate in continuous improvement of the environmental management system; * Perform other tasks not included in the originally assigned role when justified by service needs or convenience, for the duration required by such needs or conveniences. Education & Experience: * Minimum compulsory education; * Availability for night shift: 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday through Saturday; * Prior experience in a warehouse, logistics, or industrial environment (preferred); * Training or experience operating forklifts and tri-directional forklifts (preferred); * Basic computer literacy from an end-user perspective (preferred); * Training or experience in waste segregation; * Experience working in teams and following standard operating procedures; * Responsibility and punctuality, with strong commitment to meeting schedules and completing tasks; * Teamwork capability, collaborating effectively with colleagues across different areas; * Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in material handling, stock counting, and order preparation; * Proactivity, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn and continuously improve; * Organizational ability, maintaining a clean, safe, and functional workplace; * Physical stamina and willingness to perform manual tasks, such as load handling and prolonged standing; * Adaptability to routines and processes, rigorously following operational procedures; * Strong interpersonal communication skills, essential for collaboration in a logistics environment; * Resilience and emotional control, especially during periods of high volume or pressure.
