Position Title: Teacher
**Position Summary:**
Plan, deliver, and evaluate the teaching\-learning process to promote students' intellectual, social, emotional, and cultural development, aligned with curriculum guidelines and the institution's pedagogical proposal.
Key Responsibilities and Functions:
* **Planning and Preparation:**
* Develop annual, bimonthly, or quarterly teaching plans, defining objectives, content, methodologies, and instructional resources.
* Select and prepare instructional materials (handouts, slides, activities, games, laboratory exercises).
* Adapt teaching strategies to students' diverse needs and learning styles.
* **Lesson Delivery:**
* Conduct theoretical and practical lessons according to subject area (e.g., Mathematics, Portuguese, History, etc.).
* Apply active learning methodologies and educational technologies to enhance lesson dynamism and relevance.
* Maintain discipline and foster a respectful, productive classroom environment.
* **Assessment:**
* Design and administer assessment tools (exams, assignments, projects, portfolios).
* Grade assessments and provide clear, constructive feedback to students and their families.
* Record attendance, grades, and other academic incidents in the institution's systems.
* **Student Support and Guidance:**
* Identify learning difficulties and propose pedagogical interventions (remedial instruction, reinforcement, accommodations).
* Guide students on study methods, organization, and behavior.
* Support the development of values such as citizenship, ethics, respect, and teamwork.
* **Communication with the School Community:**
* Attend parent-teacher conferences, faculty meetings, and class councils.
* Maintain regular contact with the pedagogical coordination team, school administration, and multidisciplinary staff.
* Inform parents/guardians about students' academic performance and behavior.
* **Professional Development and Institutional Engagement:**
* Participate in continuous professional development, workshops, lectures, and courses offered by the school or external organizations.
* Attend pedagogical meetings, collaborative planning sessions, and school events.
* Contribute to the development, review, and updating of the school's Political\-Pedagogical Project (PPP).
* **Organization and Maintenance:**
* Keep the classroom, materials, and equipment organized and in good condition.
* Ensure adherence to the academic calendar and the institution's internal regulations.
Requirements:
* **Education:** Full undergraduate teacher training degree (Licenciatura) in \[Pedagogy, Languages, Mathematics, History, etc.] or in the specific field of practice.
* **Postgraduate Qualifications (preferred):** Specialization, Master's, or Doctoral degree in education or subject-specific areas.
* **Licensing:** Authorization from the Ministry of Education (MEC) and registration with the competent regulatory body (e.g., SEDUC, SEE, CRBio, CREA \- where applicable).
* **Knowledge:** Mastery of curriculum content, pedagogy, active learning methodologies, educational technology (ICT), and education legislation (LDB, BNCC, etc.).
* **Behavioral Competencies:** Clear communication, patience, empathy, leadership, organization, creativity, resilience, and teamwork.
Compensation: €2,500.00 \- €3,200.00 per hour
