The former manor house dating from the early 20th century—previously housing the Castêlo da Maia Health Center for many years—has been integrated with a newly constructed, fully accessible building tailored to residents with mobility challenges, offering ideal conditions for their comfort and well-being. Rua Nova da Gandra, nº 290 4475\-653 Castêlo da Maia ### **Reference** 2026\-41818 **Job Description** ------------------------ ### **Professional Family / Occupation** Accommodation/Restaurant/Social Life \- Sociocultural Animator ### **Contract Type** Permanent Contract ### **Job Position Description** Main Functions and Responsibilities 1\) Establish connections between cultural and educational domains and social and economic processes. 2\) Access information sources and procedures to obtain necessary resources and initiate cultural activities. 3\) Coordinate with professionals of diverse qualifications in designing and implementing cultural intervention strategies. 4\) Execute and budget various projects and programs, as well as prepare relevant reports and evaluations. 5\) Implement specific programs and projects aligned with the center’s overall mission. 6\) Encourage residents’ holistic development through playful-educational activities. 7\) Develop and implement diverse individual and/or group animation techniques that engage residents in leisure-time activities, thereby promoting their integration and group development. 8\) Motivate residents regarding the importance of their participation in achieving integration and fostering positive relationships with their surroundings. 9\) Coordinate sociocultural animation working groups, activities, and budgets. ### **Profile** Degree in Sociocultural Animation or related field; Experience in geriatric settings (preferred); Ability to work effectively in teams; Strong sense of responsibility; Adaptability to diverse situations and contexts; Excellent interpersonal communication skills; ### **We Offer** Permanent contract, 40 hours per week; Salary commensurate with demonstrated experience; Meal allowance; Birthday day off; Continuous professional training. **Type of Establishment** --------------------------- ### **Type of Establishment** Senior Residence **Job Location** ---------------------------------- ### **Location** Europe, Portugal, Castêlo da Maia **Candidate Criteria** ----------------------- ### **Minimum Required Experience Level** 1 year or more ### **Required Education** Yes ### **Minimum Required Qualification Level** 3\- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent **Additional Information** -------------------------- ### **Expected Start Date** 26\-03\-2026 ### **Weekend Work** Yes
