Currently, we are hiring an experienced and motivated Mechanical Turner to join our Zollern Portugal team. Job Mission: Effectively carry out various processes including operations on conventional lathes and computer numerical control (CNC) lathes, machining of metallic and plastic parts used in internal maintenance supporting the manufacturing process, as well as machining parts for molds. Main tasks and responsibilities: * Effectively manage available resource inventories (equipment, machines, consumables) to maximize productivity and minimize waste; * Perform machining of parts on conventional lathes and CNC lathes with HEIDENHAIN programming; * Build/machine parts using milling equipment (an advantage); * Apply procedures, methods, and work instructions required by the product and ability to read technical drawings; * Ensure compliance with technical requirements defined in the product specification sheet, procedures, and work instructions; * Carry out maintenance (first level) and preservation of equipment and tools within their department. Key Competencies: * 12th grade education in industrial maintenance fields; training from Technical/Professional schools is valued; * Minimum professional experience of 2-3 years in manual and automated machining, preferably in the automotive or metallurgical industry; * Experience with milling machines, conventional lathes, and CNC lathes with HEIDENHAIN programming (highly valued); * Knowledge of technical drawing interpretation; * Knowledge of CNC programming languages; * Familiarity with SAP software (valued).
