Position: Data Engineer Location: Porto, Portugal \| Hybrid – 2 to 3 times per month in the office Main responsibilities: * Design, implement, and maintain data pipelines and transformations on Databricks and Synapse * Develop and manage reusable, high\-performance data products across bronze, silver, and gold layers * Integrate structured and unstructured data from diverse sources (SAP, Salesforce, external systems) * Ensure data quality, lineage, and compliance with governance and security standards * Optimize data processing for scalability, performance, and cost efficiency * Collaborate with Data Architects, Business Analysts, and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions * Automate workflows, testing, and deployment via CI/CD pipelines Requirements: * 5\+ years of experience as a Data Engineer * Proficiency in Python, PySpark, and SQL * Experience with Azure Databricks, Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure Data Factory * Knowledge of Data Vault, Dimensional, and Entity\-Relationship modeling * Familiarity with CI/CD tools, Azure DevOps, Git, and Terraform * Knowledge of data governance tools such as Microsoft Purview or Databricks Unity Catalog * Fluency in English (mandatory) * Databricks certifications (valued) If you think you're a good fit, don't hesitate to apply for this opportunity.
