Data Engineer Mid (m/f/d)
Your Role
Our data team empowers the Körber Group with data\-driven insights, modern architectures, and scalable analytics solutions.
As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize data integration and analytics solutions across our BI landscape, ensuring reliable data flows and enabling informed, data\-driven decisions.
Your Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain data pipelines and models using SAP technologies (SAP Datasphere/Business Data Cloud, SAP Core Data Services) and Databricks
* Collaborate with Data Architects, Analysts, and Business SMEs to translate requirements into technical solutions.
* Optimize ETL/ELT processes for performance, reliability, and scalability.
* Ensure data governance, quality, and compliance across SAP and integrated systems.
* Evaluate emerging tools and technologies to enhance data architecture and automation.
* Provide technical expertise during platform transformation and modernization initiatives.
* Maintain clear documentation and promote best practices in data engineering.
Your Profile
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.
* 3\+ years of experience in (SAP) data engineering, data modeling, or analytics.
* Experience in SAP data analytics technologies (BDC, Datasphere) and/or Databricks
* Proficiency in SQL, ETL/ELT design, and integration technologies (APIs, OData, CDS Views).
* Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) is a plus.
* Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, and data security.
* Skilled in data modeling (star schema, snowflake, dimensional models).
* Excellent communication and problem\-solving skills; fluent in English (German is a plus).
* Proactive, collaborative, and comfortable working in an agile, international environment.
