The **Night Auditor** is responsible for the hotel’s overnight operational and financial management, ensuring continuity of operations, quality of guest service, and accuracy of daily financial reporting. Reporting to the Front Office team, this role serves as the central nighttime liaison between guests, the hotel, and support teams. **Professional Profile** * Education in **Hospitality, Hotel Management, Accounting**, or a related field (preferred). * Prior experience in **hotel Front Office or Back Office**, preferably in **4- or 5-star hotels**. * Proficiency in the **PMS HOST system** and the **Microsoft Office suite**. * Strong skills in **basic accounting**, **account reconciliation**, and **report analysis**. **Interpersonal Skills** * Excellent **Portuguese communication skills**; **fluent English**; knowledge of a **third language** (e.g., French, Spanish, German, or Arabic) is an asset. * **Proactive, organized, and calm under pressure**, with strong accountability and high professionalism. * Ability to **work autonomously** during the night shift, making quick decisions aligned with **5-star service standards**. **Key Responsibilities** **Night Reception Operations** * Receive and process check-in for guests arriving overnight, with special attention to courtesy, efficiency, and discretion. * Process guest check-out, ensuring accurate billing, payment processing, and issuance of required documentation. * Manage guest requests and inquiries overnight (room-related issues, services, hotel and local information, special requests). **Financial Audit and Daily Close** * Perform night audit via the PMS, including review of daily transactions, account reconciliation, and revenue control. * Verify guest folios, credit and debit transactions, charges, and any adjustments, reporting inconsistencies to management. * Compile operational statistics (previous night, occupancy, forecasts, departmental sales) and prepare reports for the management team. **Payment and Cash Management** * Process cash, card, check, and other payments in compliance with internal security and compliance policies. * Conduct end-of-shift cash count, recording, and secure storage, ensuring accurate accounting and safety. **Hotel Operations and Security** * Serve as the primary point of contact for guests during the night shift, responding to calls, messages, and support requests. * Coordinate with housekeeping, maintenance, and security teams in urgent situations (noise, malfunctions, incidents, or emergencies). * Conduct visual patrols as needed, reporting any anomalies related to security or common-area functionality.
