We are looking for an experienced Commis Chef seeking a new challenge — someone passionate not only about working with wines and local products but also committed to sustainable practices. Below are some of the daily responsibilities you will undertake: * Prevent food spoilage through daily inspections and ensure all incoming and outgoing food items meet property-established standards. * Ensure all training on preparation standards, hygiene, and food safety is delivered, understood, and followed by subordinates. * Inspect the quality of raw materials in the designated area, as well as their storage, handling, and usage. * Produce all required food items according to standards and within timely deadlines, within the designated section. * Maintain consistent quality and demonstrate continuous efforts to improve products produced in the designated area. * Prepare all mise en place and meet with the Chef de Partie/Subchef to plan daily food and beverage activities. * Assume full responsibility for the quality of served dishes. * Know and consistently adhere to standard portion sizes, preparation methods, quality standards, and kitchen rules and guidelines. * Stock and maintain sufficient food supplies at service stations to ensure smooth service periods. * Follow proper plating presentation and side dish placement for all dishes.
