What makes poetry stay? It’s not rhyme. It’s not clever words. It’s the moment something in you exhales and uses language as a body. In this workshop we dive into the parts of you that want to speak, the parts that were never given a mic. The parts that don’t sound polite, finished, or sane. We’ll write from sensation, impulse, breath. We'll play with different voices. We’ll see what happens when you stop trying to sound good and start letting yourself sound true. Yes, this may involve a little unhinging. **You’ll leave with** * a felt sense of how to write from your body, not your head * access to multiple voices living inside you * permission to play, rupture, soften, distort * and poems that couldn’t have been written by anyone else * You’ll have the space to experiment, try different techniques, and share ideas with fellow writers. Open to anyone—whether you’re a professional writer, a casual scribbler, or just getting started. **What do you need for the session?** All you need is a notebook or laptop to write with. **About your host:** Corrinke is a storyteller, (self-) published poet, story doula, and enthusiastic olympic weightlifter. For the past ten years, she has worked with entrepreneurs, public speakers, and rebels around the world to find, shape, and speak the story that actually matters. On stages, in podcasts, or just to themselves: the story that feels true in the body, not just polished in the mind. She hosts monthly storytelling nights where 150–200 people gather to listen, witness, and share. Her work blends story, presence, and embodiment. She believes the best stories aren’t perfect. They’re true.
