CIS Security Engineer

Summary: This role supports the NCI Academy in defining, designing, and implementing secure Communications and Information Systems, ensuring compliance and managing security risks. Highlights: 1. Support CIS definition, design, and implementation with appropriate security 2. Document security risk assessments and policy compliance for accreditation 3. Coordinate with CTO's team for secure CIS delivery **Location:** Oeiras, Portugal **Security Clearance:** NATO Secret **Reference No:** C004816/ Oeiras **Deadline for Application:** 06\.05\.2026 r. **Skills, knowledge, experience required:** * Experience writing or enforcing security policies and procedures; * Prior compliance audit experience (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST 800\-53, GDPR); * Experience in governance, risk, and compliance (GRC). **Desirable:** * Relevant cyber security certifications. For example the Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) and the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). **Duties/role:** * Supporting the NCI Academy in the definition, design, procurement/development, and implementation of Communications and Information Systems (CIS), ensuring an appropriate level of security risk is achieved and demonstrating and evidencing compliance with Agency CIS security accreditation policy; * Supporting projects, services, and other activities introducing new or modified CIS by documenting security risk assessments and policy compliance to facilitate security accreditation; * Coordinating with the Chief Technical Officer’s (CTO) CIS Planning and Implementation Authority (CISPIA) team to support the delivery of secure CIS in line with CTO direction and guidance. **Additional information:** If you are interested, for further information, please contact the point of contact for this offer.
