**The Role**
As BauWatch’s **first Technical Support Technician in Portugal**, based in **Lisbon**, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and developing BauWatch’s operations in the Portuguese market.
Working closely with the Managing Director, the Commercial Team in Portugal, and the Operations Team in Spain, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our intelligent security solutions for clients nationwide.
As one of the company’s first employees in Portugal, you will help define our operational standards while simultaneously providing technical support to the Commercial Team and ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest quality standards.
You will also serve as the primary operational liaison between Portugal and our Operations Team in Spain, ensuring effective coordination of installations, maintenance activities, logistics, technical support, and best operational practices. Your contribution will be essential in delivering an exceptional customer experience and supporting BauWatch’s sustainable growth in Portugal.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Install, commission, and configure BauWatch’s temporary security solutions—including video surveillance (CCTV) towers, access control systems, and connected devices—at client sites across the national territory.
* Diagnose, analyze, and resolve technical faults and issues both remotely and on-site, minimizing downtime and ensuring excellent customer service.
* Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, repairs, and equipment testing in compliance with BauWatch standards and applicable safety legislation and regulations.
* Conduct regular technical visits to clients to ensure all equipment remains fully operational throughout the rental period.
* Support the successful handover of new projects from the Commercial Team to the Operations Team, ensuring all installations are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
* Collaborate with colleagues in Portugal and Spain, sharing technical knowledge, solving complex problems, and ensuring consistent service standards across both countries.
* Manage local stock, spare parts, tools, and materials—as well as the service vehicle inventory—ensuring availability of all resources required for planned and emergency interventions.
* Maintain accurate records of installations, technical assistance reports, and technical documentation using BauWatch’s digital systems.
* Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, equipment reliability, and customer satisfaction, actively contributing to the continuous development of operations in Portugal.
* Identify opportunities to offer additional products or services during client visits and communicate them to the Commercial Team to support business growth.
* Participate in technical training and continuously develop your knowledge of BauWatch’s products, technologies, and operational procedures.
* Represent BauWatch professionally at client sites, consistently delivering an exceptional experience and acting as a brand ambassador.

* Technician with strong problem-solving skills who enjoys diagnosing faults and finding practical, effective solutions.

**Qualifications & Experience**
* Minimum of **3 years’ experience** as a Technical Support Technician, Field Technician, Installation Technician, or in a similar technical role.
* Experience installing, maintaining, or repairing electrical/electronic equipment, CCTV systems, security solutions, or telecommunications equipment will be highly valued.
* Basic knowledge of electrical systems, IP networks, and connected devices.
* Experience in construction sites or sectors such as security, equipment rental, telecommunications, events, or industrial services will be considered an asset.
* Willingness to work outdoors and travel regularly across the national territory, including occasional overnight trips.
* Good user-level computer skills, including Microsoft Office and mobile applications.
* Valid driver’s license.
* Fluency in Portuguese and professional proficiency in English. Spanish fluency will be valued to facilitate communication with teams in Spain.
* Technical-vocational training in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Telecommunications, or another relevant technical field will be considered an asset.
