In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring **high availability, performance, and reliability** across multiple database technologies, supporting critical production systems and contributing to robust data management and disaster recovery strategies. ### **Responsibilities** #### **Database Administration \& Maintenance** * Administer and maintain enterprise database environments, including **Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cassandra**. * Manage database configurations, performance tuning, and capacity planning to ensure optimal system performance. * Support day\-to\-day database operations, ensuring stability and reliability across environments. #### **High Availability \& Disaster Recovery** * Create and manage database instances in **high\-availability environments**, including **Oracle RAC**. * Implement and maintain **replication and disaster recovery solutions** using **Oracle GoldenGate and Oracle Data Guard**. * Ensure business continuity through robust failover and recovery strategies. #### **Backup \& Recovery** * Design, execute, and manage **backup and recovery processes** using tools such as **RMAN**. * Validate backup integrity and ensure recovery procedures are tested and reliable. * Act swiftly in recovery scenarios to minimize downtime and data loss. #### **Production Support \& Troubleshooting** * Provide support for **production environments**, handling database incidents, performance issues, and operational requests. * Diagnose and resolve complex database problems, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations. * Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures. #### **Continuous Improvement** * Identify opportunities to improve database performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. * Contribute to documentation, standards, and best practices across database environments. * Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to support application needs. ### **Requirements** * **5\+ years of experience** as a Database Administrator or similar role. * Strong hands\-on experience with **Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and/or Cassandra**. * Proven experience managing **high\-availability environments**, including **Oracle RAC**. * Experience with **replication and disaster recovery solutions**, particularly **Oracle GoldenGate and Data Guard**. * Solid knowledge of **backup and recovery strategies**, including **RMAN**. * Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills in **production environments**. * Good understanding of database architecture, reliability, and operational best practices.
