**Junior Back\-End Developer (Full\-time/Part\-time; Lisboa; Hybrid/Remote)** Watt\-IS is accelerating the energy transition through AI\-powered solutions that empower utilities, energy retailers, and energy communities to optimize energy usage and reduce carbon emissions. We’re looking for a talented **Junior** **Back\-End Developer** to support our existing micro\-services architecture, develop new services and integrate them with our platforms. **Responsibilities**: * Develop new functionalities for existing and new projects * Maintain existing and new projects * Develop technical specifications based on functional requirements **Technical skills**: * Experience in database design and data modeling (ER Diagrams) * Experience in querying and storing data in SQL (PostgreSQL, SQL Server) and/or NoSQL (MongoDB) databases * Experience in developing, documenting and testing JSON\-based REST Web APIs (FastAPI, Pydantic, Express.js) * Experience using HTTP clients to interact with JSON\-based REST Web APIs * Experience with Git and Linux environments * Familiarity with Ruby and Ruby on Rails (or similar frameworks like Laravel, Spring MVC) * Understanding of Micro\-services architecture **Requirements**: * Degree in Computer Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or equivalent * Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills * Fluent in English * Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem\-solving environment * Willingness to learn and adapt to new concepts, technologies and to collaborate with other team members **Nice to have**: * Experience developing static web pages with HTML, CSS and JavaScript * Experience developing web apps with React and Tailwind CSS (or similar frameworks) * Experience with data science, machine\-learning and AI with Python, R or Matlab * Familiarity with DevOps practices \- Docker and Cloud\-based services (Azure, AWS) Send us your CV and motivation letter to \ with the subject “**Junior** **Back\-End Developer 25\.12**”.
