We seek a professional capable of operating in mission-critical environments characterized by high availability and large transactional volumes, ensuring excellence and alignment with industry best practices. **Your Mission (Job Description)** As an SQL Server Database Administrator, your primary objective will be to ensure the stability, performance, security, and continuity of our clients’ database platforms. Your responsibilities will include: * **Administration and Maintenance:** Installation, configuration, and maintenance of SQL Server (following *best practices*), implementation of backup routines and monitoring, and management of SQL environments across multiple clients. * **Performance and Optimization:** Performance optimization and query *tuning*, as well as advanced performance analysis. * **Security:** Security administration, access control, jobs, auditing, Transparent Data Encryption (TDE), and SSL. * **High Availability and Cloud:** Architecture and implementation of high-availability and disaster recovery solutions (e.g., AlwaysOn, Distributed Availability Groups, and Clusters). Management of on-premises and cloud environments (Azure SQL Database and Managed Instance). * **Microsoft BI Solutions:** Maintenance, enhancements, and minor development of Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS), and Analysis Services (SSAS) packages. * **Support and Innovation:** Resolution and investigation of complex and critical incidents; participation in the implementation of new architectures and optimization of existing systems; and specialized support to Development and related teams. **Your Profile and Key Requirements** * **Minimum Professional Experience:** Minimum of **5 years’ proven experience** in SQL Server database administration, with hands-on work in production mission-critical environments. * **Mandatory Technical Knowledge:** * Proven experience in maintaining, managing, and developing **SSAS, SSRS, and SSIS** environments. * Proven experience in advanced performance analysis. * Proven experience in resolving and investigating complex and critical issues. * **Education:** Higher education degree in Information Technologies (preferred). * **Languages:** Fluent English (mandatory). **Additional Assets (Preferred but Not Required):** * Experience with **Oracle, MySQL, or other RDBMS** (valued). * Experience with **NoSQL** environments (valued). * Experience in project management and/or team leadership (valued). **Technical Environment and Industry Sectors** You will work with clients across **multiple sectors** (banking, retail, healthcare, tourism, etc.) involving: * **SQL Versions:** SQL Server 2012+ (majority 2016+, 2022+). * **Technologies:** AlwaysOn, Distributed Availability Groups, Clusters, In-Memory OLTP, ColumnStore, Partitioning, etc. * **Cloud Infrastructure:** Azure databases exceeding 5 TB. * **Workloads:** High-volume transactional environments (exceeding 100K transactions per second). **Essential Soft Skills** We seek a professional with: * Responsibility, rigor, and attention to detail. * Full autonomy, proactivity, and resilience. * Leadership capability and strong time-management skills. * Analytical ability and aptitude for teamwork. **What We Offer** * **Competitive Salary Range:** €21,000–€35,000 per year, negotiable based on experience and qualifications, aligning with Intermediate to Senior DBA levels. * **Additional Benefits:** * Meal allowance * Health insurance plan * Birthday leave (after one year of employment) * **Career Progression:** An excellent opportunity for continuous professional growth and development. * **Fully Remote Work** If you meet these requirements and are seeking a challenge within cutting-edge technological environments, please send your application to: geral@bestaccountrh.com Please note that only applications meeting all defined criteria will be reviewed.
