We are in search of a **Electrical Design Engineer** to join our innovative team as our new **\#bloqstar**. In this role, you'll play a crucial role in **defining the electrification of our products and integrating advanced battery technology.** **What you’ll be doing:** * Design and develop electrical systems and components, including battery systems, chargers, solar and power supplies; * Create detailed electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and harness layouts; * Design and optimize battery systems, ensuring safety, efficiency, and reliability; * Evaluate and select appropriate battery cell technologies * Develop and implement charging solutions for various applications; * Define the electrical harnesses, connector systems and other components such as Circuit Breakers, Contactors and UPS; * Ensure compatibility and reliability of harnesses and connectors in different environmental conditions; * Design and optimize lighting systems for energy efficiency and performance; * Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations; * Conduct electrical testing and validation of components and systems; * Create detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and reports; **What you’ll bring to the table:** * **Live near Coimbra or Lisbon, being available to commute up to 2 times per week.** * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; * Proven experience in electrical system design, particularly in battery systems, chargers, harnesses, and connectors; * Experience in PCB Design using Altium, KiCad or equivalent; * Proficiency in CAD software for electrical design (EPLAN) and mechanical assemblies; * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with the ability to conduct complex analyses; * Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines; **It would be great if you would also have:** * Experience with solar integration and related technologies; * Experience designing and implementing BMS and board\-level power supplies (buck, boost, and flyback); **Why join us?** * The opportunity to join our **Hardware** team and play a pivotal role in **defining the electrification of our products and integrating advanced battery technology** while contributing to innovative solutions that redefine Bloq.it's revolution in the smart locker industry ; * A dynamic and fast\-paced work environment with a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning ; * Competitive salary and flexible benefits package, tailored to your experience and skills ; * Eligibility for performance\-based bonus, tied to your results and designed to reward your impact ; * Work how you work best \- we offer a remote\-friendly policy and flexible hours so you can stay productive and keep life balanced ; * Portuguese Health Insurance ; * Unlimited days off (subject to manager approval).
