We are looking for an **Application Support Engineer** to join a large, multinational banking environment. This role is part of the **Client Delivery Project** ecosystem, supporting critical banking applications across various business areas. You will provide **technical support**, handle **incidents**, participate in **changes and releases**, and contribute to the continuous improvement of application ecosystems, including increasing automation through scripting and tools such as **Ansible**. This is a hands‑on operational role requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills, solid knowledge of Linux environments, and the ability to work in a structured, process‑driven support model. **Main Responsibilities:** * Provide **technical support** for banking applications, managing incidents, problems, and changes. * Handle tickets coming through **Service Now**, ensuring correct diagnosis, follow‑up, and resolution. * Perform **monitoring**, **log analysis**, and **root‑cause investigation**. * Execute and validate **SQL scripts** and support database‑related operations (Oracle/SQL). * Contribute to **releases**, **deployments**, **backups**, and **disaster recovery** procedures. * Produce clear documentation of fixes, workarounds, and standard operating procedures. * Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and project teams to ensure application stability. * Participate in **rotational on‑call** when required (varies by team). * Support automation initiatives through **scripting and Ansible playbooks**. **Qualifications** **Profile:** * ***Strong experience with Unix/Linux (RedHat)*** + File management + Process management + Troubleshooting * ***SQL / Oracle databases*** + Running queries and scripts + Understanding of relational structures * ***ServiceNow*** + Incident / Change / Problem management workflows * ***Ansible*** + Ability to run and understand playbooks **Other Technical Domains (highly valued):** * Understanding of application code flows (ability to read **Java** is a plus) * Knowledge of **infrastructure components** (servers, networks, storage, etc.) * Exposure to **monitoring tools**: + **Dynatrace** + **Autosys** * Knowledge of file transfer / messaging tools: + **Axway CFT** + **IBM MQ Series** * Ability to analyze logs and troubleshoot on distributed systems. **Additional Information** (**Hybrid work**, with 2/3 days of work in the office in **LISBON** per week) *Are you the one?!* ***Send your CV \& Join our team!***
