Designing the graph schema with a focus on performance and scalability GM Flow is a small/medium process automation consultancy in Portugal (gmflow.pt), and we are now launching a new project with a major client. We are seeking a graph database expert to join this project, which is already in the development phase. If you know how to transform relational data into knowledge networks and have experience with Neo4j, we want to speak with you. You will assume responsibility for the graph data layer, with autonomy to advise the team, design the architecture, and implement the solution. Initially, you will work directly with the client in consulting sessions (approximately 3h/day for 5 days), requiring physical presence (we can cover accommodation and travel expenses). Afterward, there follows an implementation phase of approximately 150 hours over one month (~8h/day). On a day-to-day basis, you will design the graph schema (nodes, relationships, and properties) with a focus on performance and scalability, implement Neo4j, and support technical decisions. You will also work with data sourced from PostgreSQL (fed by scraping), ensuring alignment between the structure and the model. You may also intervene in the data extraction process, providing technical feedback and adjusting the process as needed. We seek someone capable of translating business problems into efficient graph models, with autonomy, a consulting mindset, and critical thinking. Compensation ranges from €15 to €50/hour, depending on experience. If all goes well, there is a strong possibility of continuing with us after the project.
