





We are presenting an opportunity for a **Senior Systems Engineering Technician (M/F)**, within the Asset Management Directorate, based in **Sacavém**. Your main responsibilities will include: * Identifying system functionalities, requirements, and performance by continuously updating knowledge on applicable standards and market offerings, to develop specifications relevant to the Network from both local and remote operation perspectives; * Defining technical and functional requirements for equipment and systems connected to the Control and Protection System (CPS) and their interconnections, including: current and voltage transformers, circuit breaker control and signaling circuits, disconnectors, and other Extra High Voltage equipment; * Analyzing and providing feedback on preliminary studies and base designs of National Transmission Network (NTN) facilities related to Control and Protection Systems or impacting them; * Developing base designs for control and protection equipment and systems for each typical application within the NTN; * Identifying stakeholders, defining responsibilities and communication channels, and approving execution plans to schedule activities and produce test certificates; * Coordinating and carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance actions on systems according to established maintenance plans, proposing inspection, repair or replacement of components, and re-parameterization of systems following NTN reconfigurations; * Monitoring and evaluating system behavior and response to incidents on the NTN against defined limits, identifying deviations, and proposing corrective or improvement actions; * Preparing incident and failure reports (within corrective maintenance scope) reflecting the quality of service provided by Control and Protection services and ensuring process traceability; * Evaluating system performance during design and factory testing phases, assessing compliance with REN-defined requirements/limits, and ensuring new developments are tested prior to operational deployment; * Supporting procurement processes by preparing technical specifications in tender documents based on NTN base project designs; * Investigating and proposing innovative solutions, both in terms of systems and technical applications, as well as procedural and process improvements. **Professional Profile:** * Bologna Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Power specialization; * Academic experience and interest in developing computational applications; * Knowledge of design and specifications of Command and Control Systems or Protection Systems (preferable); * Familiarity with industrial automation systems; * Knowledge of digital systems and telecommunications networks (preferable); * Good command of English; * Availability for travel within the country. **Personal Profile:** * Initiative, continuous learning mindset, and proactivity; * Strong achievement orientation and teamwork ability; * Effective communication skills and good interpersonal relations.
