





The purpose of this role is to manage an unsecured NPL portfolio, with a primary focus on recovering judicially awarded amounts in insolvency proceedings, aiming to fulfill the company’s business plan and objectives. The Bankruptcy Manager must comply with internal procedures and policies. Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities * Analyze and manage Non-Performing Loan (NPL) portfolios, applying judicial rules and procedures to recover the referenced amounts; * Primary focus will be on managing insolvency proceedings within internally managed portfolios, covering both individual clients and SME/Corporate clients; * Ensure judicial deadlines are met as effectively as possible; * Communicate with courts and insolvency administrators to recover the targeted amounts; * Provide legal opinions and guidance, which may include general legal advice on best practices, input into business decisions, and legal strategies for negotiations and other legal activities; * Contribute to improving insolvency-related portfolio management processes; * Assist in due diligence for potential acquisitions; **Person specification:** * Degree/Diploma in Law (pre-Bologna) or Master’s degree (post-Bologna); * Over 5 years of post-internship experience (mandatory); * Fluent in English. **Competencies** * Organizational ability, time management and task prioritization skills, conflict management; * Experience in financial services and judicial proceedings; * High level of technical autonomy, strong sense of responsibility, integrity and ethics; * Strategic thinking capability, quick problem-solving aptitude, ability to assess inherent risks and recommend solutions aligned with the company’s and business’s objectives; * High degree of independence and comfort working in a fast-paced business environment; * Natural ability to manage large volumes of business, including their details and complexities, while simultaneously working and communicating with simplicity; * Flexibility to handle a variety of legal issues arising from a multicultural environment, even when outside one’s core areas of specialization; * Ability to build interpersonal relationships and work effectively in teams; * Proficiency in computer applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, among others.
