Job Summary: The Portuguese Catholic University in Porto is seeking a Senior Systems and Network Administrator to manage infrastructure, systems, network security, and ensure business continuity. Act as escalation point for complex incidents The **Porto Regional Centre of the Portuguese Catholic University** seeks a **Senior Systems and Network Administrator** to join the **Directorate of Systems and Information Technologies (DSTI).** **Main Responsibilities:** · Infrastructure Management: Administer and optimize clusters in Hyper\-V and VMware environments; · Systems: Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server ecosystems (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File \& Print Server, DFS, and GPOs); · Security and Networking: Configure and monitor firewalls; manage LAN/VLAN networks and wireless infrastructure; · Business Continuity: Ensure backups, disaster recovery, and high availability of services; · Level 3 Support: Act as escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents. **Admission Requirements:** · Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent fields; · Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in similar roles, preferably in medium-to-large-scale environments; · Technical expertise in: o Advanced virtualization (Failover Clustering, vMotion, etc.); o Network administration (routing and switching protocols, enterprise Wi\-Fi management); o Network security (filtering policies, VPNs, SD\-WAN); · Strong analytical and problem-solving (troubleshooting) skills; · Sense of responsibility and ethics in data handling; · Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders; · Team spirit and proactivity in process improvement; · Project management capability; · English language fluency. **Preferred Qualifications (Differentiators):** Certifications: · ITIL Foundation (IT service management); · Microsoft certifications (AZ\-800/801 or equivalents); · Fortinet certifications (NSE 4 or higher); · VMware certifications (VCP); · Knowledge of backup solutions (e.g., Veeam); · Experience in academic or research environments. **Application Deadline and Submission Method** Applications must be formalized by submitting the **Curriculum Vitae, Academic Certificate / other certificates**, and **Motivation Letter** via the following form: https://hr\-ucpporto.inqueritos.porto.ucp.pt/653661?lang\=en **Applications must be submitted by July 20, 2026.** Only applications submitted in accordance with the requirements defined herein will be evaluated. **Contact for Inquiries** Human Resources Directorate, UCP CRP drh.recrutamento.porto@ucp.pt ; Tel.: \+351 22 4106837 Job Type: Full\-time Work Location: In person
