Build a career in an emerging field of critical importance to the energy transition The **HyLab \- Collaborative Laboratory for Green Hydrogen**, headquartered in Sines, aims to establish a reference cluster for Research, Development, and Innovation, with a strategic agenda focused on strengthening hydrogen competitiveness, creating new hydrogen-related products and services, and attracting and retaining highly qualified talent. Additionally, HyLab promotes innovation by addressing key components of the supply chain to enable a hydrogen-based economy. HyLab has an ecosystem of national and European partners with whom it collaborates on green hydrogen implementation, driving the energy transition and tackling challenges across the entire hydrogen value chain. The Laboratory includes four major companies (EDP, Galp, REN, Bondalti) and eight leading academic and research institutions (IST, U. Porto, INESCTEC, INL, INEGI, LNEG, U.Nova \- ITQB, and CEiiA). HyLab seeks to integrate a Pipeline Researcher with an engineering background into its Research and Development team. This role will focus on technical analysis and support for projects related to hydrogen storage, transportation, and distribution, contributing to the development of innovative solutions in a rapidly transforming sector. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide technical support to R\&D teams in analyzing hydrogen transportation, storage, and distribution systems; * Collaborate on research projects, particularly those aligned with the Mobilizing Agendas of the Recovery and Resilience Plan (PRR); * Support cooperation with national and international partners to ensure technical project execution and preparation of technical reports; * Participate in knowledge dissemination through scientific publications and presentations at technical and scientific events. **Requirements:** * Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; * Interest in and/or experience with topics related to transportation and distribution networks (design, system analysis, simulations); * Familiarity with tools supporting system design and simulation (e.g., engineering software or process simulation software); * Knowledge of international pipeline standards and codes, as well as underground storage, will be considered advantageous; * Strong communication skills, ability to work effectively in teams, and initiative; * Availability for a hybrid work arrangement in Sines, Portugal. **Why Join HyLab:** * You will have the opportunity to tackle unusual challenges and discover solutions with high environmental impact; * You will work in an innovative environment alongside an international and multidisciplinary team; * You will build a career in an emerging field of critical importance to energy transition and decarbonization; * Opportunity to work in a hybrid mode, combining on-site work in Sines with remote work; * Your talent will be rewarded with a competitive compensation package.
