Floene, the largest gas distribution network operator in Portugal, aims to strengthen its Operations, Maintenance and Emergency team by hiring a Gas Infrastructure Technician.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate and maneuver gas distribution system infrastructure, ensuring correct operation and maintenance.
* Commission new infrastructure and support connections to the network.
* Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, ensuring system reliability.
* Supervise third-party works near the network, ensuring safety and continuous supply to users.
* Complete work orders, support technical reports, and report anomalies, incidents, and relevant information.
* Verify system operating conditions (pressures, flow rates, volumes, earth measurements, and cathodic protection).
* Respond to emergencies, ensuring the safety of people, property, and assets, both for domestic and non-domestic customers.
* Represent the company at construction sites and incidents before authorities, service providers, and the public.
* Supervise service providers during specific activities (emergencies, network interconnections, general equipment overhauls, anomaly corrections), ensuring network operationality and safety.
* Operate Autonomous Gas Units as part of scheduled periodic maintenance or emergency interventions, as well as perform liquefied natural gas unloading operations.
What We Are Looking For
* 12th grade education (mandatory)
* Gas Technician training and Safety training will be valued (non-mandatory requirement)
* Orientation / interest in hands-on field activities
* User-level computer skills
* Rigor and adherence to standards and procedures
* Proactivity and positive attitude
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Type B driver’s license (mandatory)
* Residence in Portalegre (mandatory)
