Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a Junior PCB Development Engineer to join our electronics team, focused on UAV flight systems. Key Highlights: 1. Entry-level position in a challenging electronics project 2. Mentorship from senior engineers and increasing autonomy 3. Integration into a multidisciplinary and innovative team We are looking for a Junior PCB Development Engineer to join our electronics team. This is an entry-level position designed for recent university graduates who wish to develop their skills in electronics design within a real-world, demanding context: UAV flight systems, where electromagnetic interference, weight, vibration, and reliability influence every design decision. You will work under the guidance of senior engineers, gaining increasing autonomy as you acquire experience, and collaborate closely with firmware, cabling, and mechanical teams. ##### **Key Responsibilities** * Design electrical circuits and schematics, with clear and organized documentation; * Perform increasingly complex multilayer PCB layout: component placement, routing, ground planes, and design rule checks (DRC); * Create and maintain component libraries: symbols, footprints, and 3D models, carefully validated against datasheets; * Prepare manufacturing and assembly data and manage communication with manufacturers; * Participate in lab-based prototype bring-up and validation: measurements using multimeter, oscilloscope, and logic analyzer; identification of assembly and design errors; * Support testing and troubleshooting of typical UAV issues, such as switched-mode converter interference with magnetometers, GNSS reception degradation, and power supply noise, learning mitigation techniques from the team; * Participate in schematic and layout reviews, incorporating feedback and documenting lessons learned. ##### **Required Profile** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (completed or nearing completion) in Electrical Engineering or related field; * Solid foundation in analog and digital electronics: filters, transistors and MOSFETs as switches, operational amplifiers, digital logic, and linear/switched-mode power supplies; * Practical experience (academic, personal, or internship) with at least one EDA tool (e.g., KiCad, Altium Designer), having already designed schematics and laid out at least one PCB—ideally manufactured and tested; * Familiarity with common UAV system interfaces: UART, SPI, I²C; knowledge of CAN is an advantage; * Ability to read and interpret datasheets and reference schematics; * Interest in laboratory work and eagerness to learn hardware measurement and validation; * Availability for on-site work in Alverca do Ribatejo. ##### **Benefits and Career Opportunities** * Monthly gross salary range: €1,300–€1,400; * Meal allowance of €10.20 per day (paid via card); * Family health insurance (Fidelidade); * Integration into a multidisciplinary and innovative team; * Stable employment contract (permanent contract); * Opportunities for professional growth and development in a relaxed, continuously learning environment. ##### **We Value Diversity** We promote equal opportunities and diversity, encouraging all qualified individuals to apply.
