BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is currently recruiting a dynamic, results-oriented professional for the role of **Metalworker (M/F/D)** at our new production facility in Viana do Castelo, Portugal.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Support implementation of Industrial Engineering (IE) initiatives and shop-floor improvements;
* Perform structural and Part Presentation (PP) adjustments according to operational needs;
* Develop and modify structures/PP using existing materials (cost optimization and material reuse);
* Participate in continuous improvement activities (Kaizen, suggestion implementation system);
* Build and adapt metal structures, supports, and auxiliary devices;
* Propose technical solutions to improve ergonomics, safety, and efficiency;
* Ensure preventive maintenance of structures and PP systems;
* Identify risks of wear, damage, or instability and implement corrective actions;
* Contribute to standardization and robustness of installed solutions.
**Education and Requirements:**
* Proven experience in: Cutting (saw/cutting), Milling (milling machine), Grinding (grinding machine);
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (required/preferred);
* Knowledge of welding (preferred), mechanical assembly, and manufacturing;
* Problem-solving ability;
* Practical profile, execution-oriented and solution-focused;
* High degree of autonomy and accountability;
* Proactive approach to continuous improvement;
* Familiarity with industrial environments (automotive preferred).
