Production Process Improvement BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is looking for a Junior Industrial Engineer to join its production unit in Viana do Castelo on a full\-time basis. The role will support the Industrial Engineering department by contributing to technical documentation creation, training material development, process improvement, and production operations support. BorgWarner develops technologies to enhance efficiency, emissions, and performance of internal combustion, hybrid, and electric vehicles, contributing to cleaner and more efficient mobility solutions. **Job Reference:** R2026\-1285 **Responsibilities:** Create and update work instructions, supporting the Lead Industrial Engineer; Develop operator training materials, including visual aids, videos, and 5S workplace standards; Generate purchase requisitions in SAP for the Industrial Engineering department; Transfer line documentation to the QMS platform AGIR, including operation lists, layouts, and 5S standards; Support onboarding training for new hires in 5S and Industrial Engineering; Support implementation of containment actions arising from quality alerts; Support updating routings in SAP; Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations, policies, and practices, commensurate with the role’s level of responsibility; Comply with environmental, health and safety, quality, and productivity standards; Adhere to internal organizational rules and regulations, including the Code of Ethics, work practices, and working hours; Observe safety and cleanliness rules at the workplace; Respect and comply with environmental policy requirements; Perform other duties and tasks related to special projects or assignments not included in the primary scope of work, whenever justified by operational needs or service convenience. **Requirements:** Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering; Basic knowledge of industrial processes, production flows, and standardized work; Familiarity with work instructions, standard work, and the 5S methodology; Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to meet deadlines. **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience in the automotive industry; Experience with SAP. **Diversity and Inclusion:** BorgWarner is an equal opportunity employer.
