As a dedicated specialist, you will support initiatives to streamline and automate processes, ensuring operational excellence. This role requires close collaboration with various specialists to identify and implement improvements in machinery, focusing on critical areas such as quality, waste reduction, performance optimization, and implementation of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies. The Automation Technician (m/f/x) is also responsible for supporting the Operations Department in resolving critical issues requiring advanced technical knowledge. The goal is to ensure that production continuity and quality remain top priorities for everyone at Coloplast. **Areas of Responsibility:** Develop and introduce new technologies, map existing technologies, and document associated knowledge Suggest improvements to increase machine availability Develop and introduce new technologies, map existing technologies, and document associated knowledge Suggest improvements to increase automation levels Participate in projects aimed at reducing production and process waste Participate in projects to enhance equipment and process productivity Participate in safety improvements Participate in equipment modernization projects and provide technical support for retrofit projects Transfer electrical schematics of production equipment to E\-Plan Resolve day-to-day simple and complex problems Support the execution of project activities, including software design, programming, testing, and implementation Support Automation Engineers in activities related to the development of PLC-controlled production machines, including vision systems and robotics Support the Operations Team in troubleshooting and ensuring continuous availability of production machines Support the Operations Team in resolving issues and implementing new technical solutions on production equipment Support the Operations Team in operating PLC-controlled production machines with vision systems and robotics Conduct code and design reviews to maintain high development standards Collaborate with external partners on technological development tasks Budgeting for solutions Ensure documentation of tasks and implemented changes Monitor the sustainability of implemented solutions **Essential Qualifications:** Technical degree in Electrotechnics or Automation, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role Basic English communication skills (A2 level – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) PLC programming knowledge in at least one of the following platforms: Rockwell (AB), Omron, Siemens, Schneider Preference for knowledge of Allen Bradley and Schneider Servo motor programming knowledge (Kinetix, Accurax, Elau, SEW, Trio, AMK, Indramat, Sigma Drives) Robot programming knowledge (Denso, ABB, KUKA) Vision system knowledge (Cognex and Omron) HMI knowledge (preferred) Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (electrical and mechanical) Interpretation of pneumatic and hydraulic diagrams (preferred) Ability to install and uninstall electrical components Experience in maintenance of automated industrial machinery Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Attention to detail Good communication skills and teamwork spirit Flexibility and ability to handle stressful periods Proactivity in learning and sharing knowledge **Physical or other requirements:** **Standard schedule:** 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:00 PM) Availability to work other shifts and overtime as needed Availability to be on call (Call\-In) to support production Occasional travel (primarily for training purposes) Pursuing an ambitious growth agenda, Coloplast develops and markets products and services that make life easier for people with intimate healthcare needs.
