This profession extends beyond beverage creation and remains one where guest hospitality is paramount. Bartenders must use their knowledge and expertise to make the bar welcoming and fully functional. They must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with the entire hotel team, as well as with the broader community, while anticipating and responding to guest needs. It is essential to be deeply committed to guest service and attentive to detail—from the moment money passes through the bartender’s hands, to the quality of beverages served, to the advice offered to guests. Regardless of your role, certain fundamentals are critical to success: creating a safe workplace, adhering to company policies and procedures or maintaining confidentiality. Furthermore, it is important to uphold company values through personal appearance, including uniform standards. Bartenders must remain standing and moving for extended periods (standing, sitting, walking…), engage physically in tasks (moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 25 pounds (11.4 kg) unassisted; reaching items overhead or on the floor, which includes bending and rotating the body). Employees must perform all such tasks flawlessly. Thus, our guests will always be satisfied and our business will continue to thrive.
