Continuous updates on tourism market trends **Job Summary:** A Travel Agent is responsible for providing customer service, planning and organizing leisure or business trips, offering travel packages, issuing tickets, booking accommodations, and providing information about destinations, documentation, and tourism-related services. **Main Responsibilities:** * Serve customers in person, by phone, email, or digital channels. * Identify customer needs and present travel and package options. * Make reservations for flights, hotels, transfers, travel insurance, and other services. * Issue tickets and vouchers. * Advise customers on visas, vaccinations, documentation, and entry requirements for domestic and international destinations. * Develop customized itineraries. * Monitor changes, cancellations, and rebookings of trips. * Negotiate with tourism suppliers and partners. * Stay updated on destinations, promotions, and tourism market trends. * Achieve sales targets and service performance indicators. **Requirements:** * Completed high school education (a degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or related fields is desirable). * Experience in customer service and sales. * Knowledge of reservation systems and ticketing systems (GDS, where applicable). * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Organizational skills, proactivity, and negotiation ability. * Proficiency in computer applications and office tools. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience in a travel agency or tour operator. * Knowledge of foreign languages, especially English and Spanish. * Certifications or courses in tourism. **Behavioral Competencies:** * Customer focus. * Interpersonal relationship skills. * Attention to detail. * Problem-solving ability. * Teamwork. * Results orientation.
