We are looking for a Data Scientist to join our Data & AI team. What will your day-to-day look like at Glintt Next? * Analyze large-scale, complex datasets to generate actionable insights and support data-driven decision making. * Develop and validate statistical models and Machine Learning solutions for business use cases. * Perform exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data preprocessing (structured and unstructured data). * Develop, train, and evaluate Machine Learning / Deep Learning models using Python and PyTorch. * Train models in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud), leveraging distributed computing and scalable infrastructures. * Collaborate with Data Engineering and ML Engineers to ensure data quality, efficient pipelines, and successful transition from experimentation to production. * Design and run reproducible experiments; apply statistical analysis, hypothesis testing, and advanced analytics to validate results. * Support Generative AI initiatives (data preparation, experimentation, evaluation). * Communicate model results and behavior to both technical and non-technical stakeholders; act as a trusted analytical partner in client-facing contexts. * Work with distributed teams across Portugal, ensuring alignment and effective delivery. What do we think you need? * Higher education degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science or related fields. * Over 4 years of professional experience in Data Science. * Proficiency in Python, SQL, and the Data Science / Machine Learning ecosystem. * Practical experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow, Scikit-Learn, Hugging Face, MLflow. * Experience with supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised, and self-supervised models. * Experience in cloud environments (Azure/AWS/Google Cloud) and concepts of distributed computing. * Solid foundations in statistics, probability, and experimental design; critical thinking to validate results. * Experience with model evaluation and deployment into production in partnership with ML Engineers. * Experience in Generative AI (embeddings, GPT, Transformers, LLM evaluation). * Advanced level of English (mandatory) and Spanish (valued).
