National VHS Digital Barcode Scanner

Selling a National VHS digital barcode scanner, brand National, model VEQ0542; works normally but lacks the battery cover. I am unsure whether it still serves any modern practical purpose today, but it was originally used to scan barcodes published in TV magazines and transmit them via infrared to VHS video recorders/players for automatic TV recording programming. Operational with 4 AAA batteries (batteries not included). Hand-delivery available in the Almada area and some surrounding locations; alternatively, shipping via CTT to any region of the country.
