Afterwards, he proposes to the accomplice Isaiah that he spare his life in exchange for Isaiah assuming responsibility for the crime. Arrested and brought to trial, Isaiah is interviewed by Josh Pollack, a young and provocative journalist who, while covering the trial, notices Isaiah expressing gratitude toward Deed. Suspicious, Pollack investigates the crime against all odds and despite all opposition, exposing a web of corruption that ultimately undermines the entire structure of that unit—and, in the end, places Pollack’s own life in danger.
