**The Opportunity:** We are looking for an experienced Contract Manager to join a challenging railway project, reporting to the Technical Contract Management Directorate. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional with a strong civil engineering background and extensive experience in contract management, seeking a leadership role on a flagship project.
**Location:** Porto area
**Key Responsibilities:**
* **Contract Negotiation and Drafting:** Lead the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors, ensuring terms and conditions reflect Eosol Group’s and the project’s best interests.
* **Contract Compliance:** Supervise and ensure all contracting parties strictly fulfill their technical, legal, and commercial obligations, proactively identifying and resolving any deviations.
* **Contractual Risk Management:** Identify, analyze, and manage potential risks (legal, financial, operational, technical) associated with contracts, developing and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
* **Reporting and Monitoring:** Prepare and present detailed periodic reports on the status of each contract, monitoring performance metrics, schedule adherence, and budget compliance, and communicating any incidents or deviations.
* **Change Management and Dispute Resolution:** Manage contractual change processes and resolve any disputes or claims that may arise, ensuring fair and efficient resolution.
* **Interdepartmental Coordination:** Collaborate closely with engineering, legal, finance, and operations teams to ensure contract management aligns with overall project objectives.
* **Stakeholder Interface:** Maintain clear and effective communication with all stakeholders, including clients, regulatory authorities, suppliers, and subcontractors.
**Essential Requirements:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field.
* Minimum 15 years of proven professional experience as a Contract Manager or in equivalent roles with similar responsibilities.
* Solid experience in railway projects, with specific knowledge of track materials, construction, or railway infrastructure refurbishment.
* In-depth understanding of contract law principles and best practices in contract management.
* Exceptional negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership competencies.
* Proficiency in Portuguese (spoken and written).
* Availability to work in the Porto area.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
* Knowledge of additional languages (English, Spanish).
* Experience with project and contract management software.
* Relevant certifications in project or contract management.
