**About GIMM** The **Gulbenkian Institute for Molecular Medicine (GIMM)** is a pioneering Portuguese private research foundation with an ambitious vision for fundamental scientific exploration and its profound impact on global health and well\-being. Founded in 2023, GIMM is the result of the merge of two leading research institutes, *Instituto de Medicina Molecular João Lobo Antunes (iMM)* and *Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência (IGC)*, and is dedicated to unraveling the fundamental mysteries of life while standing at the forefront of transdisciplinary research. **What GIMM seeks** At this moment, GIMM is opening an **internal opportunity** for a **People Business Partner (PBP)** to join the **People \& Culture Unit**. The PBP ensures the smooth functioning of day\-to\-day HR operations and acts as a bridge between the People \& Culture team and the different areas across GIMM, namely Labs and Platforms. This role is key to ensuring operational excellence, compliance, and a positive employee experience throughout the HR lifecycle. **Main responsibilities include:** * Preparing, managing and tracking employment contracts, amendments, and renewals; * Supporting the opening and coordination of Calls, working closely with hiring managers and the People \& Culture team; * Ensuring data accuracy and maintenance in HRIS (Zoho People) and recruitment systems (Zoho Recruit); * Handling daily employee requests and providing accurate, timely information and support; * Supporting onboarding and offboarding processes, documentation and checklists; * Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and standardization; * Assisting in HR reporting, compliance and documentation control; * Contributing to People \& Culture initiatives related to culture, DEI, engagement and development. **Profile of Candidate** **Qualifications** * Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in **Human Resources, Psychology or Social Sciences** (or equivalent field). * Proficiency in **English**, oral and written. * Portuguese language skills are an asset. **Essential Skills** * Strong organizational and coordination abilities, with great attention to detail and follow\-through; * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels; * Proactive, service\-oriented mindset and genuine curiosity about people and culture; * Capacity to manage multiple priorities in a structured and autonomous way; * Familiarity with document handling, HR systems and data management tools; * Strong sense of ethics, responsibility and confidentiality. **Preferred Skills** * Previous experience in **research institutes, academia** or international organizations; * Experience in HR operations, recruitment or contract administration; * Knowledge of HRIS platforms such as **Zoho People** or **Zoho Recruit**; * Analytical mindset and comfort with Excel or reporting tools; * Understanding of Portuguese labour regulations. **What GIMM offers** GIMM offers outstanding working conditions within a collaborative and inclusive research environment.
