Grade B cells are those rejected by the manufacturer for not meeting Grade A specifications. This may be due to minor optical imperfections, slightly higher self-discharge, marginally lower capacity, or slightly higher/lower internal resistance. Manufacturers do not disclose which specific criterion—or combination of criteria—led to a cell being classified as Grade B; however, such classifications typically involve only cosmetic flaws or very slight deviations from nominal electrical parameter values. Should any significant discrepancies exist, the cells would fail quality control—thus ensuring consistent quality assurance. Grade B cells are not recommended for intensive applications (e.g., electric vehicles), yet they are perfectly suitable for energy storage systems, offering a more affordable investment with excellent cost-performance ratio. Cell service life (up to 80% of original capacity): 6000 cycles under 300 kg pressure and maximum charge/discharge rate of 0.5C (charging up to 3.65V, discharging down to 2.5V).
