We are currently recruiting an experienced and motivated CNC Lathe Operator to join our Zollern Portugal team. Role Mission: Efficiently execute various machining processes, including conventional lathe and computer numerical control (CNC) lathe operations, as well as machining of metal and plastic components used for internal maintenance supporting the manufacturing process, and also machining of mold components. Main Tasks and Responsibilities: * Efficiently manage available resource stocks (equipment, machines, consumables) to maximize productivity and minimize waste; * Perform machining of parts on conventional lathes and CNC lathes programmed using HEIDENHAIN; * Fabricate/machine parts using milling machines (preferred); * Apply required procedures, methods, and work instructions for the product, and possess the ability to read technical drawings; * Ensure compliance with technical requirements specified in the product data sheet, procedures, and work instructions; * Perform first-level maintenance and preservation of equipment and tools within your department. Key Competencies: * Completed secondary education (12th grade) in industrial maintenance; technical/vocational school training is preferred; * Minimum 2–3 years of professional experience in manual and automatic machining, preferably in the automotive or metallurgical industry; * Experience with milling machines, conventional lathes, and HEIDENHAIN-programmed CNC lathes (highly valued); * Knowledge of technical drawing interpretation; * Familiarity with CNC programming languages; * SAP software knowledge (preferred).
