Active 8" Speaker dB Technologies leverages its extensive experience in designing active systems with this new series targeted at less experienced users, ensuring professional-grade acoustic performance. The series employs highly efficient Class D amplifiers, enabling the system to achieve high sound pressure levels (up to 126.5 dB for the larger 15" model). The new B-HYPE 8 is a versatile active system featuring a compression driver (1" voice coil) and an 8" woofer (1.5" voice coil). The dispersion pattern is asymmetric along the vertical axis and diversified (at top and bottom) along the horizontal axis. This results in more precise and efficient coverage, especially in reverberant environments. The combined input offers great versatility, adapting—for example—to a dynamic microphone or a standard line-level input. The preset BOOST equalization allows boosting of both high and low frequencies. The LINK output supports connection to a second system. Portability is ensured by a contemporary, carefully considered design featuring three handles across all models (two on the sides and one on top) and a reduced total weight—ranging from 6.6 kg for the 8" model to 17.4 kg for the 15" model. Additionally, each cabinet can be used horizontally as a monitor, providing stable 45° tilt support on both sides. The systems can be mounted on tripods or stands, and are compatible with dB sub technologies.
