




**Description:** ---------------- AlgarExperience is looking for a **Senior Groups \& Events Manager (M/F)** to join our team! We are a leading company in the maritime-tourism sector, located in Albufeira, Algarve. We are seeking a senior, dynamic, and strategic professional to lead the Groups \& Events department, playing a key role in developing this business unit and creating memorable experiences for our clients and partners. **Your mission:** * Lead the Groups \& Events area at AlgarExperience, managing an annual budget with direct responsibility for the growth, profitability, and innovation of this business unit; * Coordinate responses and follow up on all group and private event quotation requests via Salesforce, ensuring efficient follow-up; * Enter, update, and manage quotation and event information in Salesforce, ensuring accuracy and reliable reporting; * Work closely with the Reservations team and other departments to ensure speed and efficiency throughout the entire process; * Create and coordinate internal operation checklists and simplified checklists for end clients; * Coordinate and participate in weekly operational meetings, event planning meetings (15 days in advance), and alignment sessions with Revenue Management; * Analyze results and open opportunities, creating reports and automated dashboards that update according to each quotation and event status; * Develop sales techniques and commercial strategies for private clients and events; * Negotiate new partnerships with strategic suppliers and secure favorable commercial terms; * Conduct site visits and oversee major events (full days), or delegate when necessary; * Ensure clear and effective communication of confirmed events to all relevant AlgarExperience stakeholders; * Carry out commercial visits to partners and potential clients, strengthening relationships and opening new business opportunities. **Requirements:** ----------------- **What we're looking for:** * Minimum of 5 years of experience in Groups, Events, or MICE Management roles (preferably in tourism, hospitality, or DMCs); * Experience in quotation process management and CRM usage; * Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Portuguese and English (French and/or Spanish will be an asset); * Strong planning, organizational, and attention-to-detail abilities; * Leadership, negotiation, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously; * Results-oriented, with focus on customer satisfaction and profitability; * Ability to work collaboratively within a team and across different departments; **What we offer:** * Fixed-term employment contract; * Competitive salary aligned with the role and demonstrated experience; * Birthday day off; * Initial and ongoing training; * Training support in accordance with company policy; * Meal allowance, according to company policy; * Health insurance after one year of employment; * Special conditions for you and your family to enjoy our experiences; * Team Building activities; * Integration into a young, dynamic, and inspiring team; * Informal culture where everyone interacts equally;
