50x35cm - 90€ 70x50 - 130€ - The mind/body dichotomy of women is the central focus of this composition created using illustration and digital collage. This project stems from a passion for the world of illustration combined with collage. It is a raw and spontaneous form of documentation that allows unlimited experimental possibilities regarding the deconstruction and (re)construction of the image. Fragments are "cut out" and decontextualized; when inserted into another context, they undergo transformation. It is precisely within this interplay that the beauty of collage resides. Fragments drawn from diverse contexts join other fragments in the course of experimentation, forming figures that collectively tell a story. Pop Art and Vintage graphic styles serve as major influences. I chose the name "glueglue" for this project because it evokes the childlike universe of collage. These compositions are copyrighted by Maria João Faustino. They are produced using illustration and collage techniques. Although manual collages exist, the compositions are predominantly created digitally. They are printed in high resolution using long-lasting inks on matte artist canvas or photographic paper and are signed. They are available in various sizes. The canvases already include wooden stretcher frames, 4cm-thick pine battens, and craft tape finishing on the back. Bachelor's Degree in Communication Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon. I have been working in this field for approximately 15 years, and began developing this project 8 years ago.
