We are currently seeking to integrate an Environmental Engineer (m/f) into our team at our facilities in Óbidos. **Requirements:** * Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or similar. * Knowledge of environmental legislation applicable to the industrial sector; * Strong analytical skills; * Initiative, proactivity, and critical thinking; **Responsibilities:** * Ensure compliance with environmental legislation applicable to industrial activities (emissions, waste, water, noise); * Collaborate in the implementation and maintenance of the environmental management and corporate sustainability system; * Monitor and analyze environmental indicators (consumption, waste generation, etc.); * Ensure facilities are maintained under adequate conditions to optimize operations. * Promote energy efficiency and renewable energy use. * Act in inspection, consultancy, and development of sustainability policies. * Be actively involved in the preparation of the annual sustainability report (E.S.G.). * Support risk assessment and implementation of environmental control measures in the production process; * Assist in audits and communication with official authorities. Mission Ensure the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of Health, Safety and Environment management systems, promoting safe and healthy working conditions, preventing accidents and occupational diseases, and ensuring the organization's legal and environmental compliance. Main Responsibilities Implement and monitor Health, Safety and Environment programs and policies in accordance with national legislation and applicable international standards. Identify, assess and control occupational risks (physical, chemical, biological, ergonomic and mechanical) present in processes and workplaces. Monitor internal and external safety and environmental audits. Develop and keep updated emergency and accident response plans, conducting periodic training and drills. Implement environmental management practices, including waste management, atmospheric emissions, effluents and natural resource consumption. Promote employee awareness campaigns and training activities on health, safety and environment. Ensure proper investigation of incidents and workplace accidents, proposing corrective and preventive actions. Collect and monitor performance indicators (KPIs) related to the area. Act as a liaison with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
