The Transfer Technician is responsible for safely and controllably executing internal or external transfers of production machines and equipment in industrial and cleanroom environments, ensuring activities including disassembly, preparation/packaging, loading/unloading, movement, installation/assembly, and start-up support — all aligned with safety, quality, and functional best practices.
**Key Responsibilities:**
**Planning and Preparation**
* Participate in planning and preparation of transfers (disassembly/assembly sequence, lifting equipment requirements, routes, access points, and constraints).
* Conduct pre-transfer inspections and documentation (photographs, cable/component labeling/identification, parts inventory, checklists).
* Implement and verify safety measures (LOTO — Lockout/Tagout, energy isolation, pressure release, disposal/segregation of consumables).
**On-site Disassembly and Preparation**
* Disconnect and prepare utilities and interfaces (electrical, pneumatic, vacuum, water/cooling, data, exhausts), coordinating with responsible departments and local procedures.
* Disassemble mechanical and electrical assemblies per instructions, drawings, and best practices, ensuring integrity preservation and traceability.
* Clean, protect, and package components for transport and temporary storage.
* Prepare machines for movement (securing, shaft locking, removal/safeguarding of loose parts, surface protection).
**Loading, Transport, and Unloading**
* Operate and/or support load handling and movement operations (pallet trucks, aircasters, forklifts, jacks, skates/rollers), as qualified and authorized.
* Ensure proper load lashing, containment, and stability during transport; identify risks and implement mitigation measures.
* Perform unloading and positioning in receiving/temporary storage areas, ensuring material integrity and control.
**On-site Installation and Assembly**
* Move and position machines at final location (including in cleanrooms), respecting cleanliness requirements, designated routes, load limits, and access rules.
* Assemble and align machines (leveling, floor anchoring, reinstallation of guards and shields), reconnect utilities and interfaces per specifications.
* Support basic functional testing, diagnostics, and post-assembly troubleshooting (mechanical, electrical, automation) in coordination with various stakeholders.
* Support commissioning and handover activities (SAT/internal acceptance), including documentation and punch-list closure.
**Quality, Documentation, and Continuous Improvement**
* Comply with and promote EHS requirements and cleanroom rules (including contamination control, cleaning, and behavior).
* Record interventions and evidence in internal systems (checklists, reports, CMMS/SharePoint/Teams, where applicable).
* Report deviations, non-conformities, and unsafe conditions; propose improvements to reduce transfer time and enhance safety/robustness.
* Collaborate closely with internal teams and external suppliers, ensuring clear communication and focus on project deadlines.
**Essential Qualifications:**
* Technical education (Level IV/V) in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanics, Automation, Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, or equivalent.
* Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in industrial assembly/installation, machine transfers, industrial maintenance, or equivalent roles.
* Experience with load handling and lifting equipment; certifications (forklift, cranes, overhead cranes, rigging).
* Willingness to work in cleanroom environments and adapt working hours to transfer execution (as required).
* English language skills (technical reading and basic communication) are an advantage.
**Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies:**
* Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical schematics, and pneumatic diagrams.
* Proficiency in using hand and power tools, basic instrumentation (multimeter, torque wrench, level/laser), and technical consumables.
* Understanding of alignment, leveling, controlled tightening, and assembly best practices.
* Safety focus: risk assessment, working with suspended loads, LOTO, working at height (where applicable), and reporting culture.
* Document discipline: checklists, identification/labeling, evidence recording, and traceability.
* Teamwork capability and coordination with multiple stakeholders (production, quality, EHS, engineering, suppliers).
* Proactivity, flexibility, and problem-solving under pressure while maintaining quality and safety standards.
* Proficiency in MS Office tools and collaborative platforms (e.g., Teams/SharePoint).
