Collaborate on prototyping Generative AI solutions **Junior Data Science \& AI Consultant** Pluto Analytics is seeking a Junior Data Science \& AI Consultant to join a team focused on solving real business problems using data and artificial intelligence. **Responsibilities** * Participate in end-to-end Data Science and Machine Learning projects—from data preparation through model building, testing, and validation of predictive models—documenting approaches, hypotheses, results, and limitations; * Conduct exploratory analyses, generate reports, dashboards, and visualizations to support decision-making; * Work with structured and unstructured data using Python, SQL, and analytical tools; * Collaborate on prototyping Generative AI solutions, including LLM integration, semantic search, embeddings, and RAG pipelines; * Support experimentation initiatives, offline/online evaluation, and A/B testing; * Contribute to recommendation, personalization, ranking, and user behavior analysis solutions. **Requirements** * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, or another related quantitative field; * Proficiency in Python and SQL applied to data science workflows—including data manipulation, modeling, experimentation, prototyping, automation, and system development; * Academic, professional, or hands-on experience with Machine Learning projects—including data preparation, model training, testing, and evaluation—with understanding of fundamental concepts such as features, validation, overfitting, and evaluation metrics—and ability to apply these models to real-world business problems; * Experience with or exposure to data visualization and results communication tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent libraries; * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; * Attention to detail and commitment to quality; * Proactivity, autonomy, curiosity, and eagerness to learn new technologies; * Good communication, teamwork, and documentation skills; * Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines—including in remote or hybrid environments; * Fluent English. **We Value** * University projects, internships, research, bootcamps, or personal projects related to Machine Learning, Data Science, or Generative AI; * Knowledge of deep learning, NLP, anomaly detection, sentiment analysis, or time series analysis; * Experience developing chatbots, conversational AI, or agent routing systems; * Familiarity with RAG architectures, LLMs, embeddings, semantic search, and vector databases; * Interest in or practical experience with recommendation systems, ranking, personalization, and user behavior analysis—including next-best-action strategies and designing recommendation systems based on preferences, history, and feedback; **Profile We Seek** We are looking for someone with a solid technical foundation, rapid learning ability, and enthusiasm for tackling real-world problems—someone who can transform data and models into clear, actionable solutions for business and technology teams. **Contact:** **\** **or** **\** You can find the original job posting at: https://www.itjobs.pt/oferta/513689/consultor\-a\-junior\-data\-science\-ai
