**We are recruiting for the following position:**
Construction Director (F/M)
Permanent contract – Lisbon
**Your main responsibilities will include:**
Supervising, motivating, and organizing construction teams to ensure proper contract execution,
Optimizing requirements for human and material resources, as well as work methodologies,
Validating technical choices and operating procedures, including subcontractor selection,
Monitoring construction execution, setting performance targets for teams (productivity, schedules, budgets), and ensuring budgetary follow-up, invoicing, and payments,
Guaranteeing the establishment and proper implementation of Quality, Safety, and Environment (QSE) control plans,
Ensuring maintenance or improvement of client satisfaction by complying with contractual obligations (quality, deadlines, OPR, resolution of reservations, and handover),
Motivating and coordinating teams, contributing to their skills development, and conducting annual performance reviews,
Serving as the point of escalation and managing relationships with clients, secondary trade contractors, and suppliers,
Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and delegated responsibilities across the entire construction site.
Your profile
**What we expect from you:** You hold a Master’s degree (Bac+5) or equivalent engineering degree in Building/Structural Engineering/Construction Economics and have at least 10 years’ significant experience in construction management.
You are fluent in Portuguese, both orally and in writing, to interact effectively with our local teams and partners.
You are registered with a professional body whose qualification is recognized equivalently by Portuguese engineering professional associations.
You master applicable standards and regulations in your field, contract management, project management methodologies, and budgetary management. You routinely use professional and digital tools and are an expert in reporting and data analysis. In-depth knowledge of the technical and professional environment of the sector, as well as administrative and financial management capabilities, are essential.
You are recognized for your rigor, autonomy, and sense of responsibility. You possess excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, enabling you to efficiently lead and motivate your teams.
