**Supplier Quality Performance Engineer**
**Location:** Aveiro, Portugal

**Summary / Overview:**
We are looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to ensure the quality performance of component suppliers, guaranteeing effective handling of deviations and non-conformities for the client's other manufacturing plants and their respective customers.
The role will focus heavily on components and processes related to electronic technologies, and will be responsible for leading supplier quality, managing crises, and serving as a cross-functional interface with internal and external teams.
**Key Responsibilities and Tasks**
* Ensure supplier quality performance (on-time delivery, expected criteria and format).
* Manage non-conformities, deviations, and implementation of Firewalls.
* Conduct and follow up on system and process audits.
* Define, implement, and monitor corrective action plans (8D).
* Analyze and validate production processes (4M, Ishikawa, 5W, IS/ISNOT, FMEA, R-FMEA, Fault Tree, Process Capability).
* Lead Task Forces with suppliers.
* Concisely escalate status updates, risks, and action plans.
* Manage warranty incidents and ensure plant-level reporting (one voice).
* Prepare technical dossiers for escalation to the Procurement department.
* Monitor and ensure compliance with supplier quality KPIs.
* Collaborate cross-functionally with Manufacturing, Logistics, Product Engineering, Process Engineering, Procurement, TQF, SSD, and Customer Quality.
* Willingness to travel to suppliers and other industrial sites.
**Mandatory Requirements**
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Industrial, Electronics Engineering or similar).
* Experience in Supplier Quality within the automotive sector.
* Experience in non-conformity management and process audits.
* Quality tools: 8D; FMEA / R-FMEA; 4M; Ishikawa; 5W; IS/ISNOT; Fault Tree; Control Plan.
* System and process audits.
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Microsoft Office (user level).
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to synthesize information and present to Management Committees.
* Negotiation skills with suppliers.
* Results-oriented mindset and problem-solving ability.
* Teamwork and cross-functional collaboration.
* English – advanced level (oral and written negotiation).
**Preferred Qualifications**
* Knowledge of products/processes involving electronic technologies (valued).
