As part of this journey, you’ll contribute to the launch of a new Tech Hub in Porto, helping to drive innovative, technology\-led solutions that are transforming how businesses move while contributing to a more sustainable future. **YOUR ROLE** ------------- * Develop, enhance, and maintain scalable and resilient backend services using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices. * Design and implement REST APIs and event\-driven integrations, ensuring performance, security, and reliability. * Take ownership of backend features throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment and support. * Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, and development teams to deliver high\-quality technical solutions aligned with business needs. * Contribute to architecture decisions, code reviews, and the adoption of engineering best practices. * Support cloud\-native applications, focusing on system stability, observability, and continuous improvement. * Mentor team members and actively contribute to knowledge sharing within the team. **YOUR PROFILE** ---------------- * 5\+ years of experience in backend software development.Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, and Spring Boot. * Proven experience designing and developing microservices\-based applications. * Hands\-on experience with REST APIs and event\-driven architectures, preferably using Kafka. * Good understanding of software architecture principles, distributed systems, and integration patterns. * Experience with cloud\-native technologies, CI/CD practices, and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes. * Strong analytical and problem\-solving skills with a proactive and ownership\-driven mindset. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile and cross\-functional teams. * Fluent in English. **WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT WORK HERE** ------------------------------------ * At Capgemini Portugal we have a flexible and dynamic work environment.
