Identification and characterization of job positions: Performance of duties outlined in the annex referred to in paragraph 2 of Article 88 of the General Labor Law for Public Functions (LGTFP), approved by Law No. 35/2014 of June 20, as currently in force, corresponding to functional complexity level 1 in the Operational Assistant career and category, specifically: carrying out environmental monitoring, awareness-raising, and natural resource surveillance activities in municipally managed protected areas, including preventive actions and initial response within forest management, with special emphasis on compliance with environmental and forestry legislation; performing surveillance and initial intervention duties regarding rural fires in protected areas; collaborating with technical staff responsible for managing protected areas in species inventory and/or mapping tasks involving fauna and flora species of conservation interest (protected and/or threatened), as well as controlling and/or removing invasive alien species; conducting environmental awareness and education activities, including sharing educational information and providing visitors with clarifications in operational areas; identifying and reporting the condition of infrastructure and equipment in protected areas, as well as performing minor repairs whenever necessary; carrying out vegetation clearance along watercourses and other forest management interventions within protected areas; when performing duties related to this recruitment procedure, applicants must demonstrate willingness to drive light municipal vehicles throughout the municipal territory and occasionally at regional or even national level.
