We count on your energy **Operational Technologies Engineer** **Join Galp and bring your curiosity and passion to work every day** You will join the Renewables, New Businesses and Inovation business unit, which develops a diversified and sustainable portfolio of renewable energy — solar and wind — focused on the Iberian Peninsula. Additionally, it identifies, evaluates and develops business opportunities across the energy sector, such as the battery value chain. **Learn more about your future team** The mission of the Operational Technologies (OT) Engineer is to act as the focal point for all OT equipment in the field and support the implementation and management of renewable assets within Galp's monitoring system. The PMS – Power Monitoring System is Galp’s corporate operational solution, designed to centrally and cross-functionally monitor, in real time and with historical data analysis, all of the company’s renewable assets. Its development, maintenance and operation involve multiple internal and external stakeholders. **Discover more about your day-to-day responsibilities** * Act as the focal point for all OT equipment in the field, providing cross-functional support to Galp’s internal and external stakeholders, and assume primary responsibility for the flow of real-time operational data; * Ensure continuous evolution of OT equipment, maximizing power plant productivity; * Collaborate on the integration of Galp’s assets, ensuring data integrity for real-time and historical analysis; * Guarantee continuity of Control Center (CC) activities at the application, communication and system levels; * Participate in the specification, design, development and implementation of core system functionalities, requiring high-level technical and cross-functional knowledge, evaluating state-of-the-art technologies and preparing written specifications and implementation recommendations; * Promote continuous evolution of OT equipment aligned with a business strategy focused on service reliability and cost reduction; * Monitor work plans and schedules for integrating, updating or adapting OEM SCADAs and other OT equipment, considering requirements from internal and external stakeholders; * Establish best practices for integrating new projects, and coordinate validation activities during installation and commissioning of OEM SCADAs and other OT equipment, ensuring integration of new assets and retrofits, with periodic and final reports for all stakeholders; * Ensure real-time control system analysis and incident resolution according to defined priorities, coordinating all activities with OEM SCADA and OT equipment vendors, as well as internal stakeholders; * Ensure integrity of operational data for internal databases used in real-time and historical analysis. **What makes you unique** * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science or another relevant field; * Minimum 3 years of experience in the renewable energy sector; * Prior experience working with OT system configuration; * Solid knowledge of industrial communication protocols (IEC-60870-5-101, IEC-60870-5-104, MODBUS, OPC-UA, DNP, OPC DA & OPC XML) and databases (SQL, among others); * Experience in OT cybersecurity is highly valued; * Strong communication skills, with ability to conduct technical discussions in diverse cultural environments; * Ability to manage multiple tasks and work on several projects simultaneously; * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; * High attention to detail; * Fluency in Portuguese and English, both written and spoken.
