Challenging and dynamic work environment *Velocity Investments*, a real estate group headquartered in Porto, is seeking an Accountant to manage daily accounting activities, prepare financial reports, and oversee treasury operations across Group companies. JOB DESCRIPTION Main Responsibilities: * The selected professional will be responsible for managing daily accounting activities across all Group companies, ensuring accurate and up-to-date recordkeeping. This role includes preparing and executing reconciliations for suppliers, customers, and banks, guaranteeing the integrity and accuracy of financial information. * Ensuring monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes is critical, working closely with external auditors and providing all necessary supporting documentation for audits. * The candidate will collaborate on preparing financial statements and periodic reports, and ensure compliance with all tax and parafiscal filing obligations. * Coordinating and supporting the preparation of annual financial statements for Group companies is a central responsibility, as well as supervising operational treasury management, including cash flow forecasting. * Monitoring payments, invoices, and accounting documentation is equally essential. * The professional must ensure strict compliance with applicable accounting, tax, and legal obligations, providing management with accurate financial information and reports whenever required. CANDIDATE PROFILE Requirements: * Active registration with the Order of Certified Accountants (OCC) or a higher education qualification in Accounting is mandatory for this position, along with prior, proven professional experience in the real estate sector. * Native-level proficiency in Portuguese and good command of English are essential. * The ideal candidate demonstrates high attention to detail, strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and proven ability to work independently.
