Job Summary: As an Accountant at BBS, you will be responsible for end-to-end accounting and tax tasks, working directly with clients to ensure timely monthly completion of accounting, tax, and reporting requirements. Customer-centric and cooperative culture At BBS, as an Accountant, you will hold direct responsibility for executing all end\-to\-end accounting and tax tasks, collaborating closely with clients to ensure timely and accurate monthly fulfillment of all accounting, tax, and reporting obligations. Main Responsibilities Prepare, organize, classify, and post accounting documents Ensure proper monthly closing of accounts in accordance with defined accounting standards and information quality requirements Ensure that accounting and tax processes are executed in compliance with applicable legal regulations and within established deadlines (both internally and with clients) Prepare/validate financial statements, reports and accounts, tax declarations, and contracted economic and financial reports and indicators Provide up-to-date information to support clients’ decision-making Advise and provide technical clarifications upon client request Participate in client follow-up meetings Competencies Knowledge of accounting and tax processes. Ability to effectively prioritize projects and rapidly adapt to new challenges and concepts. Demonstrated capacity to assimilate new knowledge. Technical rigor and attention to detail. Professional responsibility and integrity. Problem-solving ability. Efficient, team-oriented work environment. Profile Academic degree. Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounting. Fluency in English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of Portuguese tax legislation. Experience handling monthly financial information. Experience interacting with tax authorities. Experience working in a service management environment.
