Our platform enables merchants to process online payments and offer their customers a wide range of payment methods. You will help develop, improve, and operate the systems behind these payment flows, from integrations with payment providers to our payment page and server\-to\-server APIs. This is a hands\-on development role where you will work on both new functionality and the continuous improvement of an established, business\-critical platform. **What You Will Do** -------------------- * Integrate new payment methods into our payment platform * Develop and integrate clients that communicate with payment providers and other third parties * Design and implement new platform features * Develop, enhance, and maintain our hosted payment page * Develop and maintain public and internal APIs * Write unit and integration tests * Contribute to the design and architecture of new software components * Improve our internal framework by refactoring, simplifying, and generalising the codebase * Review code and exchange feedback with other developers * Deploy new versions of our products * Take part in the team’s compensated second\-level on\-call rotation outside regular working hours **Who You Are** --------------- * A bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field * At least three years of professional experience with Java * Experience developing applications with a modern framework such as Spring * Experience with Git, Maven, and relational databases * The ability to design reusable, robust, and maintainable software components * A strong awareness of software quality and engineering best practices * Experience writing unit and integration tests * Good problem\-solving skills and a willingness to take ownership * An interest in payment systems, integrations, and business\-critical backend applications * Experience with Linux, CI/CD pipelines, containers, Kubernetes, or cloud platforms is an advantage, but not a requirement. **Why Planet:** Planet is an equal opportunity employer where diversity is valued, and all employment is decided based on qualifications, merit, and business need.
