Job Summary: ATEPELI, part of an international luxury group, is seeking a Shoemaker – Last Modeler to ensure the quality and optimization of last prototypes, interpreting technical documentation, developing models, and collaborating with teams. At ATEPELI, we specialize in producing luxury leather goods and footwear components. Currently, we operate three workshops in northern Portugal, specifically in Ponte de Lima, Penafiel, and Santa Maria da Feira. We aim to foster an environment that empowers the skills and talent of our employees. We have a new opportunity to welcome a Shoemaker – Last Modeler (m/f/d) to our Santa Maria da Feira workshop. This dedicated and experienced professional will play a crucial role in executing, optimizing, and ensuring the quality of produced lasts. Responsibilities span from interpreting technical drawings and industrializing models to training the production team, contributing to product excellence and innovation. Your primary mission will be to guarantee the quality and optimization of last prototypes, including: \- Interpreting all technical documentation (spec sheets, drawings, etc.). \- Developing technical prototypes and last models using manual methods and, preferably, CAD software. \- Ensuring models meet technical, ergonomic, aesthetic, and production requirements. \- Preparing all assembly stages for prototypes. \- Performing adjustments and corrections to models based on validations and tests. \- Collaborating with industrialization and production teams. \- Ensuring quality verification at every stage of the production process. \- Training artisans to enhance versatility and support new models and processes. This position is for you if you: \- Hold vocational/technical training in footwear last modeling. \- Understand manufacturing processes (cutting, preparation, assembly) and materials. \- Have preferred experience with CAD software for modeling. \- Can interpret technical drawings and specifications. \- Are capable of sewing a complete last. \- Demonstrate teamwork and independent working abilities. \- Possess a proactive attitude, resilience, and strong team spirit.
